Established in 1919 during the Maramon Convention, the Mar Thoma Sevika Sangham is the dynamic women’s organization of the Mar Thoma Church, born out of a heartfelt commitment to spreading the gospel. Under the inspiring leadership of Abraham Mar Thoma Suffragan Metropolitan, this organization has been a beacon of unwavering support and empowerment for women within the church.

At the heart of our organization is the participation of all women above the age of 18 in their respective parishes, making them automatic members of their local Sevika Sangham. The parish Vicars serve as the Presidents of these branches, and Committees, including dedicated Secretaries and Treasurers, are elected from among our members. With a strong presence in our church and community, the Sevika Sangham is proud to be one of the most active and engaged organizations in our church.

The St.Thomas Marthoma church, Auckland Sevika Sangam found its roots with the establishing of our parish in 2006. Since then the Sevika Sangam has been a pillar to the women of our parish in their spiritual growth, personal development thru various programmes like Bible study, Family sunday celebration, Fasting prayers, regular fellowship meetings.

We also provide a platform for the women of our parish for Leadership during the church service, exhibiting their cooking talents thru various food sale programmes, conducting fund raising programmes and also while offering their help for tea fellowship every sunday.

We are always on the look out for fresh hands and mind set to work in His kingdom which will nurture every woman for our parish towards their own personal growth and growth of His ministry.
